These are a couple of INCREDIBLE!! websites with pictures of Napoleonic dioramas. They are in German, but don't let that fool you - the pictures are well worth the visit if you want to see incredible terrain and painting on miniatures.

I believe you are looking at the battle of Leipzig. Note that these are flats, painted in a very nice, realistic style. Also note the modular structure.
What they are saying is that neglect, age and rainwater got in and messed up the basework and lead figures, and that they are restoring and reinstalling it for public display.
Thanks for the info! That they are flats makes the spectacle that much more Impressive.
